Drop-In Sessions
On the first Monday of every month we have our Drop-In session at Culdrose Community Centre, Helston. We meet informally from 7pm to 9pm, and would be pleased to see you. You are welcome to come on your own, or with friends or family who have been helping to support you.
We always try to have at least two volunteers at each session, who are able to talk with you; we have information from some of the other sources of support you might find useful, which you can take away; we can help you to find any other information or help you might need.
We and can chat with you about your experience if you want. If you would prefer not to talk about what happened, but want like-minded company then drop in for coffee, biscuits and guilt free relaxation, then please feel free to come. We are also able to offer a one-to-one listening ear at the session.
None of our present volunteers are trained counsellors, we simply offer help and information, and can give common sense advice about ways of managing your grief and ways to move forwards. If you are in need of counselling, we can help you to locate the most appropriate counselling for you.
You are welcome to pop in for a few minutes to pick up or request leaflets or information; or stay for as long as you need.
The main hall of Culdrose Community Centre is sometimes occupied by other users, and if this is the case we have the use of a separate door to the left-hand side of the building. This will be signed on the front door if needed; please follow the Splash posters, with arrows to the side door.
If you are unsure how to find the community centre, please ring us and we can give directions or click on the map above.
